NixNote 2, a great replacement for Evernote for Gnu / Linux

Nix Note 2

One of the apps and services that has recently revolutionized the world of smartphones and computers is undoubtedly Evernote. This application is famous for its ability to take notes anywhere and be able to view them on any device, but not on one where Gnu / Linux is. This is because there is officially an application for all platforms except for Gnu / Linux. But this is not an obstacle since there are alternatives, alternatives like NixNote 2.

NixNote 2 is a Gnu / Linux program that started out being written in Java and is now written in C ++ and with QT libraries. This makes it have an improved performance but it is not as beautiful as the official app. NixNote 2 is still in beta phase but can be used perfectly with an official Evernote account, but with their respective limitations, limitations that are given by the Evernote API or simply by the NixNote developers.

Even with limitations, NixNote 2 allows the full timing of the notes from our Evernote account with the application, except for those that are handwritten that will not be synchronized. Audio notes won't sync either, due to the Evernote API. Among the novelties of the latest beta is the possibility of sending notes by email, find and underline words in pdf files, receive notifications from the application and thank you to the colors.txt file, we can customize the colors of the note. Social networks in this version will not be present yet, but it seems that in future versions they will be available.

As an unofficial Evernote client, NixNote 2 is one of the best unofficial clients For Evernote according to my personal opinion, but of course, the best thing is that you try and judge yourself. If you want to install NixNote 2, on your official website You will find all the packages available to install on your favorite distribution, either based on Debian or based on Red Hat Linux and the rpm package.

What do you think of this unofficial client?
