Chakra Linux Project is a GNU / Linux Distribution focused on the use of KDE. Chakra project comes from the KDEmod project (KDE modular software packages for Arch Linux).

The goal of the Chakra Project was to have a desktop operating system that is easy to use but maintains all the features, clarity, power, and accountability of Arch Linux, based on the KISS principle.

About the Chakra Linux distribution

Chakra includes both free and proprietary software, although the latter can be disabled during installation. Just this one available for 64-bit architecture , since 32-bit support was withdrawn.

Chakra does not schedule releases for specific dates, but uses a "Half-rolling release". This means that the main Chakra packages (graphics, audio, etc.) are frozen and only updated to fix security problems.

These packages are updated after the latest versions have been fully tested before being moved to permanent repository (approximately every six months).

This allows to have a stable base to ensure stability to the rest of the programs.

My favorite desktop distro, very stable and works great. The only thing that should have a more updated iso for at least one or two months, as I see that it does manjaro. I also see that they are very active, with the updates and unfortunately they are creeping the odd little errors.
