Netrunner Linux receives its April 2019 update with new design

The development team behind the Netrunner Linux Project has released the new version Net Runner Rolling 2019.4, the April build of this Arch Linux-based distribution.

Following the January 2019 release, netrunner 19.01, the version non-rolling of this distribution, which in that case is based on Debian, Netrunner Rolling 2019.04 is here with the KDE Plasma 5.15.3 graphical environment accompanied with the KDE Applications 18.12.3 software suite and KDE Frameworks 5.56.

Netrunner Rolling 2019.04 also comes with Mozilla Firefox 66.0.3 Quantum by default, with full integration with the KDE Plasma graphical environment. The Mozilla Thunderbird 60.6 mail client is also present, all under Linux Kernel 4.19.32 LTS.

New design, improvements for Web Apps

Similar to Netrunner 19.04, Netrunner Rolling 2019.04 comes with a new dark theme powered by the Kvantum tool, which offers a modern and fresh design. Additionally, a small glow appears when users minimize all applications and reverting to the old design is easier.

Apart from this, Netrunner Rolling 2019.04 adds a new category in the application menu called Webapps, where you can access all your web applications and all the KCM modules in relation to the interface have been unified in a section called Plasma Tweaks. You can download Netrunner Rolling 2019.04 from this link or upgrade your existing installation.
