Nautilus 3.30: major file manager improvements

Nautilus on GNOME

GNOME Files (Nautilus) is, as you well know, it is the default file manager used by GNOME desktop environments, as in KDE Plasma we have Dolphin. Now, with the arrival of this new version Nautilus 3.30, the developers in charge of this project have taken an important step forward, with the implementation of important improvements that will improve this great file manager for the new versions of the graphical environment.

As you know, Nautilus is open source (of course), written in C, and based on GTK +. Now it is part of that pack of tools that are grouped under GNOME Core Applications. Throughout the history of Nautilus releases, the developers have surprised us with some improvements and implementations, but on this occasion the updates that this package receives are very attractive, not so much in the graphic aspect but in how practical they can be. be. For example, Nautilus 3.30 will have a redesigned route bar to improve its appearance, as well as new options in the toolbar to improve usability. It will also feature better compatibility when running on low resolution screens (up to 530px), where it did not seem to perform as well in the preview versions of this file manager. Now having a low resolution screen will not be a problem ...

There is also a system of dynamic resizing, faster file search in Ubuntu (it will be used in Ubuntu 18.10 so it will be very interesting as we will see in October, although of course it can be updated / used in other distros that use GNOME as is obvious), and other minor improvements, as well as some bug fixes. We can also quickly access the templates and extensions for this environment thanks to the new features added to the Nautilus bar.
