As you all know, the Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic. A week ago they recommended that we not crowd together, but a few days later they told us to stay at home so as not to contribute to the spread of the virus. In social networks, such as Twitter, hashtags such as #QuedateEnTuCasa have been launched and there are many service companies that want to help us make this difficult time more bearable. Among these companies is Movistar, who offers us its Movistar + Lite free until April 30.
The best thing about this "offer", to call it in some way, is that it is available for Movistar users and for those who are not. There is only one restriction: the channels have not been added to the company's decoder and must be accessed from the app (mobile or Smart TV) or from the web service. Here we explain how to enjoy this service that, it must be said, we would prefer that it was not necessary.
How to activate Movistar + Lite
If you are Movistar + users, the new channels appear now in applications. If you did not have what was previously known as YOMVI activated, you just have to follow the information you have on the official Movistar page which you can access from here. Those of you who are not clients of the famous operator can access the service by following these steps:
- You have to go to this website and register: https://www.movistar.es/particulares/Aplicaciones/ProcesosCompra/movistarplusLite.
- The most important step has already been taken. Now there is access to the service, something we can do in:
- Mobile apps: for Android y for iOS.
- Smart TV App. Here you have to look for it in the application store of the television operating system, as long as it exists, or access it if it was already installed by default.
- Access the service via the web: http://ver.movistarplus.es.
- Finally, because the headline is not a "clicbait", mention that Linux users will not be able to access the service if we do not perform a few extra steps:
- If we don't have Google Chrome installed, we install it (not compatible with Firefox).
- We install this extension: Player to see Movistar +.

If when trying to access Movistar + on devices on the screen an error "WebGL is not supported" is shown, you can try to carry out the following operation to solve it:
1. Access Chrome settings from your browser In advanced settings enable the option "Use hardware acceleration when available"
2. Access Chrome Flags chrome: // flags / and enable the following extensions:
WebGL Draft Extensions (It will ask you to restart the browser-ok)
Override software rendering list (It will ask you to restart the browser-ok)
And those of us who are not from Spain what?
Well, obviously you cannot access a service only for Spain.
