It hasn't been long since the previous stable version and we already have another one here. Personally, considering that this was announced in the testing branch not long ago, I thought it would take another five days to arrive, but I was wrong. a few moments ago announced the launch of manjaro 2022-06-12, and among its novelties that attract the most attention we have the latest stable version of the Linux kernel.
The test was announced last Friday the 10th, so they have been able to "test" it a little. The stable version has arrived before they added the news in the Manjaro forum, where they announce the releases, but after installing them all and restarting, the Manjaro configuration assistant recommends an installation: Linux 5.18 is already available in the official repositories, so you can install and remove 5.17, but not before checking that everything works correctly. Still, it is advisable to keep at least one LTS version in reserve.
