Linux Mint "copies" Windows and moves the desktop display applet to the right. News of the last month

Linux Mint moves the option to show the desktop to the right

Things as they are. I'm pretty sure the option to display the desktop this way is available on some Linux desktops before Windows, but I don't know or remember. I do remember that it has been like this in the windows system for a long time, and hence the headline that in no way intends to be a “clickbait”. It doesn't matter if it was the chicken or the egg first, and the only thing certain is that Clement Lefebvre, leader of Linux Mint, has published the latest monthly bulletin talking about this, among other things.

Until now, the option to show the desktop was on the left. The option has now been replaced with a separator, and "show-desktop" has been moved to the far right. Clem himself mentions Microsoft's operating system when talking about this change, saying that, although it's harder to see and discover, it's easier to use once we know it's there, and he's right; Being on the edge, you don't have to be precise when looking for it to click it.

Other changes in Linux Mint

Among the rest of the changes that have been brought forward this month, Blueman has been upgraded to v2.3.4, with news such as a race condition in Cinnamon that led to having two Bluetooth icons on the panel has been resolved. Also, the code that allows you to remove apps from the main menu has been revised and removed password prompts in a situation where administrator permissions were not needed. For example, password is no longer required when removing a flatpak package.

Speaking of this type of packages, the update manager has added support for updating flatpak packages, so they can be updated like we do with any other software without having to pull the terminal or another software store, such as GNOME Boxes. Regarding the aesthetics, several visual changes have been introduced, among which we have that the selected files now highlight the icons at the same time as the text.

I usually use the hot corners or active corners, but exactly only the one on the lower right side, to show the desktop, the detail that it has is that it usually hides the notes app, I hope that this does not happen with this app, greetings

I was already waiting for adding support to update flatpak packages, I'm one of those who always want the latest version haha.
And the new option to show the desktop is very good, although there is already something similar in linux mint, which I put in the same place that appears in Windows, and where linux mint will put it now, (and I don't think there is a better place to put the option), even so, this new option looks much better and with new settings
