Some of what's new in Linux Mint 21 Beta

Among the novelties that will arrive together with this version, it stands out that the main flavor will use Cinnamon 5.4. It is the Mint project that develops and maintains this desktop, and releases new versions taking into account that they have to add it in the next installment of the operating system. The code name will be Vanessa, And it will be based on Ubuntu 22.04.

One of the great things about Linux Mint is that they do what they think is best. If Canonical decides to add something controversial or bad or remove something useful, Clem and his team don't adopt it or add it on their own. vanessa will not use system-oomd, a novelty designed to better manage resources that has not turned out as well as expected.
