Linux Mint 19.1

In the most recent monthly announcement, Linux Mint project leader Clement Lefebvre discussed what comes next in terms of releases and revealed the codename that the next version of the Linux Mint 19.x series will have.

After Linux Mint 19 Tara and Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa, it will come Linux Mint 19.2 Tub, which is still based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Bionic Beaver.

As expected, Linux Mint 19.2 Tina will have support for 32-bit and 64-bit architecturesIt will come in three different editions; Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce. Lefebvre also confirmed that Linux Mint 19.2 Tina will have support until April 2023.

Linux Mint 19.2 will have improved art and applications

Like all Linux Mint releases, Linux Mint 19.2 Tina will have several general art and application enhancements. According to Clement Lefebvre, the next release will have Ubuntu's default fonts, vivid color icons, and better contrast for the Mint-Y theme.

The update manager also received several tweaks, and the Cinnamon edition promised brighter and more crafted windows, the ability to turn VSYNC function on and off without restarting Cinnamon and a new default print applet. Linux Mint 19.2 Tina Beta 1 will hit the public in the next few weeks.
