The Linux Foundation certification, logo

La Linux Foundation He has several certifications on Linux management equivalent to others such as those offered by LPI or CompTIA, and also some extra similar to others for some cloud systems. That way, many who want to take the exam and earn an industry-valued certification will be able to do so remotely. Now, to the whole list we must add a new certification called LFCA.

LFCA It is an entry-level, that is, at a lower level than others that it has, but that allows you to show your knowledge in IT technology. The acronyms refer to Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate.

Some developers or technicians acquaintances do not need certifications to start working, but the rest of mortals need them to access certain jobs. So if you are thinking of getting a new job or moving up within the company you are in now, you can benefit from LFCA and other certifications from the foundation.

On this occasion they will have the collaboration of the startup Certiverse, with which they are working to make this LFCA certification. With it you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skills about modern information technology in a fundamental way. S will focus especially on Linux, systems administration and cloud computing.

For this to be possible, it will consist of percentages of competencies and domains that go through:

  • 20% of fundamental knowledge about GNU / Linux.
  • 20% on systems administration fundamentals.
  • 20% cloud computing fundamentals.
  • 16% of computer security fundamentals.
  • 16% DevOps basics.
  • 8% of support and development applications.

This is how LFCA will be, which will be added to the list of existing ones, such as LFCS, LFCE, etc. Also, you should know that to prepare for this exam, the Linux Foundation will recommend some MOOC courses for training, such as those of edX. For the moment, it is what has been revealed, but when there are more news we will tell you about them in LxA ...
