Linux Deepin 15 is now available to everyone

Linux deepin 15

Taking advantage of until the last day of the year, the Linux Deepin team has released the latest stable version of the distribution: Linux deepin 15. This version does not make drastic changes with respect to its Release Candidates, it only adds support for more than 30 languages, something interesting since it will allow more people to enjoy one of the most beautiful distributions on the market.

Linux Deepin 15 is based on Debian and this time they will have the help of Intel and the Intel's CrossWalk project which will make many applications can be transformed into web applications and available to users.

As with previous versions, Linux Deepin 15 has the latest in software, the latest stable Debian kernel and a renewed dock that will allow the user to interact with the system through it since the system, the dock and the notification panel they are more integrated. The visual aspect has also been improved, new wallpapers have been included as well as a new blank visual theme that will create a simpler environment.

Unlike other distributions, Linux Deepin 15 will not have LibreOffice or Apache OpenOffice as an office suite but will have WPS Office, an office suite that is having special importance in the eastern area due to its compatibility with Microsoft files.

If you already use Linux Deepin, you just have to go to Control Center -> System Information and there you can update the operating system. If, on the other hand, you want to try it for the first time, in this link you can get the installation image to install it on the computer you want or in a virtual machine, whichever you prefer.

Personally I am surprised by the popularity this distribution has taken within the Gnu / Linux distributions but it seems that the visually beautiful triumphs more than the technical or how effective although Linux Deepin 15 does not lack any of these things, what do you think?

I think the download link is very slow, it marks 14 hours for me to have the iso.

Hi Mark! I suppose you can always try their alternative sites (Mega, bittorrent, among others), where the download will not depend on your server -In China-, if not on Mega's own (how well they have been working). Greetings!

I have already downloaded and installed it. At first glance it looks new and the truth is. However, after trying it for a while, it gives the feeling that something is not right. I will not go into details, it is better for whoever wants to download it and check it, in my case I prefer Linux Mint which in my opinion has no rival.

Well, you should detail, for now I am testing it in a virtual machine and it has not given me problems.

Okay, it is automatic the decrease of the screen brightness for the laptops, because the others you have to restart them, I give it 9.9 since nothing is perfect, because I have to use it for at least a month to give my opinion as a user.

?? I do not understand. Are you surprised by its popularity? For? Does the beautiful triumph more than the technical? Does Deepin lack neither beauty nor efficacy? They were?

I am testing it these days, at first sight I fall in love, but since it is perfect in life, this distro could not be the exception to what I mean is that its connection to its store and / or repositories is very slow too slow I would say. As I could find out in your forum, it is a problem that no one says will have a solution, but the "solution" they give is to try mirror by mirror and see which one is more acceptable. It is something that disappoints me, finally I will give it a chance for a couple more days, if I don't have to go back to Elementary OS.
