Linus Torvalds, the creator, has spoken in a Linux Foundation video on the opportunities offered by Linux and open source software. Since he was a student in the 80's until he first launched Linux back in 1991, the Finn has not stopped in his work as a kernel coordinator and in his numerous appearances at conferences and other events regarding his creation or software of Open Source.
Today all his legacy has been translated into many opportunities for many other workers in the computing sector, who have seen a great vein in this kernel and its entire environment, as well as other very interesting open source projects and without which today we could not happen. So Linus Torvalds is proud of his creation and he has talked about the opportunities that knowing about this world offers to get a job or improve your job position.
You can see the video on these lines, it talks about the opportunities it offers Linux and open source but not only on a technical level, but indirectly. It also begins by reviewing how great and important Linux has become, since it ranges from large machines such as supercomputers, to mobile devices or TVs like the ones we use today. And now with the IoT more and more opportunities open up.
We have already commented on this blog how Linux generates employment, knowing about it can help you find a job or improve your job position. In times of crisis and where there was unemployment, the technology sector, especially the one related to Linux, needed qualified personnel to work. Therefore it is not a bad idea study on the subject, as it will open doors for you. Also creating open source projects or collaborating on them on sites like GitHub, etc., can serve as an "experience" that companies value.
the only REAL opportunity in linux is saving licenses.
Whether you like it or not, Linux does not stop being a UNIX, that if updated and with the advantage that all Christ can do whatever it is, that is the real essence, but it does not stop BEING A COPY OF UNIX

They fall short in their vision of LINUX. Even more so with GNU. Linus manages to talk a lot on the subject, yet he still doesn't describe the magnificence of open source.
How narrow-minded ...
