LibreOffice 7.4.3 arrives fixing 100 bugs and improving compatibility and stability

LibreOffice 7.4.3

Following v7.4 of the most popular free office suite, The Document Foundation released the first and second update point and in both cases 80 bugs were corrected (160 in total). A few moments ago, TDF announced the release of LibreOffice 7.4.3, and it is a case of the third time lucky, or the third time there are some changes, because the coincidence has not happened anymore (otherwise it would have been, at least, curious).

LibreOffice 7.4.3 has arrived fixing a total of 100 bugs, 98 of them in the RC1 and 2 more in the RC2. As always since there are two options available, TDF remembers that this is the Community version, the one that is supported by volunteers; there is also a version for companies with improved support, and they can even add functions on demand, but the Community is, let's say, "the one of a lifetime".

LibreOffice 7.4.3 still not recommended for production teams

For enterprise-class deployments, TDF highly recommends the ecosystem partners' LibreOffice Enterprise family of applications - for desktop, mobile and cloud - with a large number of dedicated value-added features and other benefits such as SLAs (Service Level Agreements): https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-in-business/. All code developed by ecosystem companies for enterprise customers is shared with the community and enhances the LibreOffice technology platform.

TDF reminds those who prefer something more stable that the 7.3 series is also available, currently at version 7.3.6. In the previous series have been more tests and polished things more, while 7.4.3 is the most up-to-date version, but the new features introduced in 7.4.0 need to be polished before recommending this series for production teams.

LibreOffice 7.4.3 available from this afternoon in official website of the project for all supported systems. In the next hours or days, or even months depending on the philosophy of the developers, the new packages will reach the official repositories of the different Linux distributions.
