As for the maintenance updates that The Document Foundation releases for its office suite, they usually release at least five. That's when a new series is often recommended for production teams. A sixth point update is also usually released later, and more than that it's just to fix gross bugs or cover up a major security flaw. This afternoon have thrown LibreOffice 7.2.7, and something very serious would have to happen so that an eighth installment was needed on time.
I don't say it they say it on twitter, but to avoid confusion, it must be said that they say that it is "probably" the last update of 7.2. Also on the microblogging network that Elon Musk just bought they have mentioned that 47 bugs have been fixed, and the list of changes is divided between the note of the RC1 and the note of the RC2 of LibreOffice 7.2.7.
LibreOffice 7.2.7 fixes 47 bugs
Aside from mentioning 47 bug fixes and probably the last update in the 7.2 series, little else can be gleaned from this news. Even so, The Document Foundation does not miss the occasion and once again reminds us that what most of us are using is the Community edition, and that there is an Enterprise for companies.
The differences between both editions are few, but significant: those of us who stay in the Community edition have to settle for the support offered by the community, something that may be enough for most. with version Enterprise we would get direct support from the company, plus they promise we could order à la carte features.
LibreOffice 7.2.7 can now be downloaded from the official website of the project. This is the version that is recommended for production teams as it is more tested and more polished. For those who prefer new features to stability, too available Libre Office 7.3.3. In addition, they have already announced that they are working on the 7.4 series.
