LibreOffice 7.0.3 released with more than 90 fixes and improving compatibility

LibreOffice 7.0.3

In early August, The Document Foundation He launched LibreOffice 7.0. It was a release with important improvements, among which I would highlight its improved compatibility with Microsoft Office. It later released the first two maintenance updates, introducing the v7.0.2 more than 130 corrections, something important if we consider that systems like Ubuntu 20.10 use the seventh version of the office suite. A few hours ago, TDF has made the launch official de LibreOffice 7.0.3.

This new knit update has arrived with more than 90 bug fixes, among those who mention some annoying that were introduced in v7.0.2, so it is not clear to me if we could talk about a regression here. In addition, they also mention that security improvements and interoperability features have been introduced, which improves support and compatibility with formats such as those used by Microsoft Office.

LibreOffice 7.0.3 now available for download

As always, at this point we have to remember that TDF offers at least two options for its office suite: the most modern is intended for those of us who want the new functions without thinking so much about productivity. If we need stability, we have to stick to the recommended version, which is LibreOffice 6.4.7 at the moment. This series will not be recommended for production teams until at least December or January, at which time they will release v7.0.5 of the famous free office suite.

LibreOffice 7.0.3 can now be downloaded from the author's website, which we can access from this link. From there, Linux users can download DEB packages, RPM or the code / binaries. Users who have installed the version offered by our Linux distribution should be able to update in a few days, as long as we are already using v7 of the office suite. If you are using a system like Manjaro or Arch Linux, to use this version you have to uninstall the version that comes by default and install the one from the "Fresh" channel.
