LibreOffice 6.1.2 is here with more than 70 fixes

LibreOffice

The Document Foundation announced the immediate availability of the second maintenance update for the latest series of the free office suite LibreOffice 6.1.

Arriving just two weeks after the first maintenance update, LibreOffice 6.1.2 is here to fix 70 bugs discovered by the development team or reported by users using the reporting system in the different components of the suite.

The launch of this second maintenance update comes just in the days of the LibreOffice Conference 2018, an event that takes place in Tirana, Albania and is dedicated to this office suite.

LibreOffice 6.1.3 is expected in October 2018

All LibreOffice 6.1 users are invited to update their installations to the LibreOffice 6.1 maintenance update. However, The Document Foundation still recommends LibreOffice 6.1 only to advanced users and people who want to try the news, for companies and new users, TDF recommends staying in the more stable LibreOffice 6.0 series, which will end its cycle on November 26 of this year.

LibreOffice 6.0 will have a new update before the end of its life, LibreOffice 6.0.7, which is expected to hit the streets in late October alongside the third maintenance update for LibreOffice 6.1 series. Until that time, The Document Foundation will recommend that companies and new users install LibreOffice 6.1, closing its cycle until May 29, 2019.
