Purism, the famous company behind the notebooks and upcoming mobile with Linux as an operating system, has taken another step towards the goal of providing total privacy to the user by announcing Librem One, the suite of applications for iOS, Android and Linux.
Tired of large companies using their services and applications to follow user activity, advertise and sell data, Purism has created a suite of applications that are an alternative to the most used apps on iOS and Android.
As a first phase, at Librem One we have an end-to-end encrypted chat application, an end-to-end encrypted VPN solution, and a social platform for everyone. In the near future, the company plans to include cloud storage, payments and telephony services for its Librem 5 mobile.
Librem One available right now for iOS and Android
If you are interested in trying this suite, you can now access it and make use of Librem Chat, for secure messages, Librem Mail, for encrypted emails, Librem Tunnel, as a VPN solution, and Librem Social, as a social platform.
Android users can download right now Librem Chat, Librem Mail, Librem Tunnel and Librem Social directly from the Google Play store. While iOS users can download Librem Chat and Librem Tunnel on iPhone and iPad and Librem Social only on iPhone from the App Store. Librem One is coming soon to Purism's Debian-based PureOS operating system.
Librem One is a subscription service that users can use for as little as $ 7.99 per month or $ 71.91 per year. There is also a basic subscription consisting of Librem Chat and Librem Social with a “pay what you want” model from 0 to $ 5.99 per month. To see more details of the packages go to Official Site.
