Krita 4.2.4, now available new minor update that fixes 16 bugs

Krita 4.2.4

Just two weeks ago, KDE Community He launched Krita version v4.2.3, a version that fixed a total of 29 bugs and added the ability to rotate layers with a double tap on the touch panel. Today, KDE has released Krita 4.2.4, another maintenance version, but that fixes fewer bugs than the previous one. Its developers say there are more fixes on the way, but these will arrive together with the next Krita 4.2.5 that will be released on August 14.

As for numbers, Krita 4.2.4 introduces a total of 16 changes, 14 of them marked as "bug". Among the changes that have not been marked as a bug we have a correction in the color selector that makes it possible for the background color to be transparent or that has been fixed the filename reference for Rec.709 profiles. In fact, all 16 changes are bug fixes, but the two that are not marked as such had no open file.

What's new in Krita 4.2.4

  • The use of periods in file names is now allowed (note that this could confuse the operating system).
  • Fixed regression in the softness sensor on the tip of the default circle auto brush.
  • Leftover points in the line tool can now be erased at each use so there are no false starts.
  • No longer resets opacity to zero when moving more than one shape at a time.
  • Rotation in the brush motor is no longer ignored.
  • Fixed cursor drift when using pan / zoom / rotate.
  • Fixed a crash when creating an RGB image after the last used color model was CMYK.
  • Qt's QImageIO image import / export filter for PPM files can now be used instead of our own broken implementation.
  • Fixed updating brush size on toolbar using shortcuts or dragging.
  • Now the generated gradient names can be made translatable
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when closing Krita after deleting a session.
  • Fixed a bug in the color picker that made it possible for the active foreground color to be transparent.
  • Fixed a logic bug in separate image plugin.
  • Updated the notes for the LargeRGB color profile.
  • Fixed filename reference for Rec.709 profiles.
  • Added a workaround for the KisShortcutsMatcher claim.

I have installed version 4.4.2 (windows) and I have a detail, when writing in any layer ... The RED color is exchanged for blue (in any range) and blue for red. The funny thing is that it only happens in the workspace, if I go to the brush settings (any) and in its properties I check its details, there is a space to paint as a "preview" and there if it paints the selected color. Only it does not do it in the workspace, I never edit the workspaces I have the default configuration of layers and background. So I think it is a bug. Does it sound like that? do you know anything about that?
