    Knoppix was the one that saved my hard disk the first time I fiddled with the boot sector and grub ... it was the cause of linux entering my computer in 2004. And since then with linux: knoppix on the disk, then Ubuntu, a flirtation with mandrake and finally debian ... a couple of weeks ago I messed around again, and again Knoppix came to the rescue with his partition manager, this time to make way for Arch

    I remember having Win98 when I first tried Knoppix on a CD and saw it as a weird but advanced system, very different from the poor Win98. It looked rich in graphics, sounds, programs, and some games.
