Canonical announced today that competition to be the creator of the wallpaper of the upcoming Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine is open for proposals.

As is customary with every new major Ubuntu release, Canonical runs a contest where artists and designers from around the world are invited to participate to win the jackpot, to be part of the next version of one of the most important Linux-based operating systems. from the actuality.

This year the contest is for Ubuntu 19.10, named Eoan Ermine, a release that will reach everyone on October 17. This contest is open to anyone and starts today, ending in September, weeks before the beta launch that is dated September 26.

To enter the contest all you need to do is upload your image to the official post on the Ubuntu community site. All images must be your property, without watermarks, names or logos, they must also have a resolution of at least 3840 × 2160 pixels.

For your participation you can publish smaller images, but if your image is selected you must have it prepared with that resolution.

Finally, it must be taken into account that all public images must be under the Creative Commons license CC BY-SA 4.06 or CC BY 4.03. You can check all the details and participate in this link.

The winner will be chosen through a poll which will take place on the same site as the publication, the contest does not yet have an exact closing date, but it is known that it will be in early September.

Canonical has mentioned that although there will be only one winner, they will make a collection of "the best" for the next release with long term support, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
