KDE Frameworks 5.65 comes with more than 200 changes

El KDE project I launch a new update of its software suite KDE Frameworks, with version number 5.65, bringing a large number of improvements, news and fixes.

KDE Framework 5.65 is a monthly update of this software suite used by the famous KDE Plasma graphical environment, and comes with 200 changes between various components.

Among the most interesting novelties of this update we can mention the implementation of an installation directory for systemd units, new icons for Baloo and Search in Preferences, notifications of new documents in KConfig, new protocol for 7z files, document configuration path in Android , and new module for KQuickCharts.

KDE Frameworks 5.65.0 is coming soon to the official repositories of your favorite Linux distribution, if you are using the KDE Plasma development environment make sure to update as soon as possible. The KDE Framework 5.65.0 source code is available for download if you are a developer and want the package on your Linux distribution.

KDE Frameworks 5.65.0 is compatible with KDE Plasma 5.17, as well as Qt 5.12 and Qt 5.13. The next release, KDE Framework 5.66, which will arrive next year, will arrive to support KDE Plasma 5.18 LTS which will be released on February 11, 2020.
