The KDE Project launched its weekly update for KDE Frameworks, version 5.55.0, which brings with it numerous improvements for users of the KDE Plasma graphical environment.
Just in time for the highly anticipated KDE Plasma 5.15 release, KDE Frameworks 5.55 is available with a dozen improvements, updates, new features, and countless fixes.
First of all, the Breeze icon theme received many new icons, so you will see a very very cool update.
On the other hand, the exiv2extractor utility received support for BMP, GIF, WebP and TGA image formats, taglibwriter received support for mimetypes, the KIconThemes, KService, KXMLGUI and Solid components are built without D-Bus, Knotification received support for the channel of Android notifications and support for Android API> 23 and KTextEditor also received improvements.
Among other changes worth noting in KDE Frameworks 5.55.0 we can mention support for syntax markup in AsciiDoc, better support for Wayland, and support for KLauncher to handle process outputs without errors.
