KDE announces SystemdGenie, systemd graphical management application

In recent times, it has been tried to simplify the use of Linux as much as possible, trying above all to make it more accessible to people who have no idea of commands. The best example is SystemdGenie, an application developed by Ragnar Thomsen, KDE developer, which allows you to graphically manage Systemd.

If you use or have used KDE, systemd-kcm sure sounds like you or KCM to dry, an application that also served to manage systemd. Let's say that SystemdGenie is the continuation of KCM but in a more elegant and advanced way, allowing us to manage systemd with more precision.

This application has several tabs that they tell you a little about what is happening in the system. For example, we can see all the daemons that are active in the system and run them, stop them and ultimately, do everything we could do with commands.

It also adds a user management and quick access to systemd configuration files, also explaining what each of them is for. Finally, we can also see the open sessions of the operating system and a timer for each of them.

Without a doubt an interesting tool that it will make life much easier for users, especially those who are not very given to executing command lines. Of course, this version is not yet fully stable and is considered a pre-release version.

Specifically, we are in version 0.99.0 of SystemdGenie and it is expected that Ragnar Thomsen keep working hard to improve this app, an application that, even if it is created by someone from KDE, could work in the future as an independent application, compatible with all desktops on the market.

Moment you can try this version, a version that you can download to through here. Of course, remember that being an unstable version it could contain a bug.
