JingOS "is not an operating system." Will we see a JingDE soon?

jingde

At the beginning of the year we talk to you from JingOS, a Linux-based operating system that was presented to us as a great option for tablets. Later they told us that they would launch the JingPad, a tablet that would use JingOS and that would have much superior hardware than the PineTab, and it can already be tested on x86 tablets and computers. Today, in the Telegram group of the project, have mentioned something: JingOS «it is not an operating system, it is a desktop and some apps«. In other words and translated into Spanish, it is what we know here as a «desk», which is why a question arises: will there be jingde in the future?

If you search for JingDE in Google (or better in DuckDuckGo), what you will find will be things related to China, but nothing about a "Desktop Environment", which is what the acronym DE would mean. There is nothing related to a Linux desktop simply because it is a made-up word for this article: if the system, which is not a system according to its developers, is JingOS, OS being the acronym for Operating System, the desk it could be called JingDE, that if it ever existed.

JingDE could be installed as GNOME or Plasma ... if it ever existed

But one thing must be made clear. A young developer who is part of the KDE project, Niccolo Venerandi has been the one who has mentioned that JingOS is not an operating system, but because runs on Ubuntu, which would be the operating system.

Therefore, after reading Venerandi's words, this doubt has arisen that we could see in the future. If it were to come true, JingDE, or whatever you wanted to call it, could be installed in our operating system just as we can install Plasma in Manjaro XFCE, for example. It should also be possible to choose between the graphical environment and the full desktop, which would also add the own apps of JingOS.

I am aware that the JingOS / Pad developer team is constantly analyzing what is published about your system and your tablet, so I would not be surprised if you read this article about something they never said. If that's the case and you're all wrong, then I just greet you with a smile. On the other hand, I feel obliged to make the query, something that might interest you: would you like to have the possibility of installing JingDE on your operating system?

I find the JingTab A1 tablet more and more interesting with this OS, which is based on Ubuntu seems like a success.
