Idempiere is open source software available for Linux and dedicated to something Linux-based systems need to improve on, business and professional software. Business software is sometimes in short supply or the options are not very interesting for companies, while companies like Microsoft do have software of this type. Now that ODOO before openERP, one of the best ERP, CRM, and much more that exist is changing its licensing policies, becoming more closed can be a good option. It was a pity that I think the best open ERP, as with sugarCRM, let's hope these other projects when they grow up they won't close.
