Huawei has started selling computers with Linux operating system

Huawei with Deepin In recent months, there are many of us who are publishing a lot of news about Huawei. The vast majority of this news does not come because of what the Asian giant would like, which would be because of how good its products or sales are, but because Trump vetoed the company and they could not use future versions of American products, such as Android. But today we bring you more positive news: Huawei has started selling Linux computers, although there is small print.

The small and most disappointing print at the moment is that they are only selling them in china, the same country of origin of Huawei. They are selling the MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13 y MateBook 14 en VMall.com, all of them with the also Chinese deepin operating system. If you do not know it, it is a distribution based on Debian whose latest version I arrive with interesting news, such as CloudSync that will allow us to save our settings in the cloud so that we do not have to start from scratch after installing the operating system.

Huawei has started selling computers with deepin

Being manufactured with Linux in mind, they work perfectly both with the Deepin that comes installed and with any other penguin distribution. Also, the Windows key (META) does not have the Microsoft system logo, but a "Start" that I personally would like to have on my Acer. This change alone already makes computers about € 38 cheaper. In terms of specifications, all three models are available with an i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

Will these computers stay in China? It is not known. The only thing confirmed is that they are already being sold there, but it cannot be ruled out that they will later reach other markets, such as European or American. Would you like to have one of Huawei's new MateBook Linux?

I wish they hit the shelves in shopping centers this Christmas.
What a scare MS would get.
Much more with its current kills of equipment with its updates?

I who went back to dual boot before Proton and Lutris made it almost unnecessary to play going from XP to 10 after about 10 years free of MS Windows nor wanting to use my MS WOS 10 now, imagine who does not even know what happened to him the same, which will not be few.

With all due respect, you are quite freaked out. Unfortunately Windows will continue to be the most used operating system in the world until the end of the desktop PC ...
But it would be great if Huawei laptops with Linux arrived this Christmas, in that I give you absolutely right

The truth is, because you do not have to worry about compatibility and everything is done, particularly I would put opensuse later

Deepin? A distro classified as spyware at some point, I remember using it in its first versions and I really liked it, until I heard some of these accusations. It may be Debian-based but some pre-built packages may not be Debian source code. He was accused of using a kind of Google Analytics called CNZZ that would have other purposes than just collecting browsing data ... and it is not that Google is very transparent either. The good thing about Linux is that you can change the distro for another one you like. A very good team by the way.
