Google PlayDownloader is an open source Linux application that can be used to download APK packages (android binaries) from Google Play on our computer with a Linux distribution. And this for what? They will be wondering ...
Well, the developer himself of the application has commented that "he did not like that his Android AOSP was tainted by Google's root services [...] and he did not want to be in Google's database." With this application we can download applications and games from the Google store and make a backup copy of the APK.
By downloading applications like this, we avoid having to register in Google Play and depend on this Google system. Besides that there is no version of Play Store for PC since it is only accessible from Android devices.
All for free and the application already has everything you need to download the installer. Google Play Downloader already has a Gmail account and an Android ID so you don't have to register with your data.
In this blog we already talk about F-Droid, Which is an alternative to not depend on Google services, so now and you have more possibilities to get away from the Google universe without leaving it. But in this case it is not about having your own app repository, but about using Google's own through this tool.
A link to the project page would not be bad ...
