Go For It !, Task Scheduler for Linux

Go For It! is a simple program that performs the task scheduler function in a way much simpler and more intuitive usual.

Although there are already millions of programs that perform the function of task scheduler, Go For It! offers a program with a simple design, elegant and powerful at the same time, being also completely free and free.

The operation is very simple, firstly we choose the task that we are going to execute in the To-Do tab, then we program the time at which we want the task to be executed in the timer tab, then we click on the Done tab and the app will work. When there are 60 seconds left for the application to run, we will get a message that the application is going to run, as well as when running.

But the real difference between Go For It! and the rest is the way you have to save the tasks, these will be saved in the Todo.txt text file using the Todo Indicator program. Thanks to this program we can save these tasks in the text file and upload them to a cloud storage system such as Dropbox, in this way we will be able to edit the tasks from all our devices.

In my opinion, making Go For It! Compatible with Todo Indicator, as it is very useful for many people. Imagine, for example, that you have programmed your Ubuntu Server to delete a file at 10 o'clock at night, but for whatever reason at 9 o'clock you change your mind but you can no longer access your server physically, because with Go For It! you take your mobile and edit the todo.txt file to cancel the task.

This program has been developed by Manuel Kehl, who has also uploaded the demo video that appears above this article. In the video you can see an example of how this application works.

For installation on Ubuntu-based systems, we will access our console andlet's clear the following commandsThere is also a version for Windows that can be downloaded from the web.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mank319/go-for-it
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install go-for-it
