GNOME 3.30 will have an app to listen to radio online for free

GNOME

The team behind the GNOME project has talked about the app internet radio locator which apparently will arrive by default with the new GNOME 3.30 when it is officially released.

GNOME 3.30 is in a very tight development phase, with a second snapshot to come this week, thanks to this, the development team has updated the future plans page including the Internet Radio Locator application, designed for GNOME 3.xx.

Internet Radio Locator is an open source graphical application developed in the latest GNOME / GTK + technology that helps its users find stations from different sources around the planet. Right now support supports search of locations through text, which gives a total of 86 stations around 76 cities, of course, with the passage of time more stations will be added and there will also be new ways of searching.

Enjoy radio stations from around the world in GNOME 3.30

Thanks to the Internet Radio Locator application, GNOME 3 users will be able to enjoy many radio stations with just a few clicks, either by placing the cursor on the map to listen to the stations of that city or by directly putting the name of the city in the search box that has the auto complete function.

GNOME 3.30 is expected to be released on September 5 of this same year being the first version to include the Internet Radio Locator application by default. Although right now you can install the latest version of this application by downloading and installing the official source.

In addition to the application to find Radio stations, GNOME 3.30 introduces several improvements about which we will have more information soon, revamped start and lock screen, disabling the launch of applications and binaries directly from the Nautilus file manager and many other changes They will soon see the light both in the news and on the official website of the project.
