Geary 0.11, this is the new version of the Gnome mail client

Geary 0.11

The Geary mail client development team has announced the immediate availability of a new version of their program, it's about Geary 0.11.0 and is now available for download and installation.

Geary 0.11 is the official mail client of the Gnome desktop and it has become famous for being a simple application, but that perfectly fulfills its mission.

Among the novelties that this new version brings we have the correction of many image-related crashes, unexpected shutdowns, lost connection… A problem with GTK + has also been fixed and the translations and the instruction manual of this program have been improved.

Merit of Geary 0.11 is that it has managed to be successful in the users in the second decade of the XXI centuryBecause of the advancement of email management web applications, email software seems to be more of a 90s thing than 2016.

This has been achieved thanks to a simple interface, which organizes emails into conversations, which makes reading emails much easier and saves the user a lot of time. At the same time, it is compatible with most email accounts on the market, with digital signatures, a powerful search engine and a notification system.

It is also easy to use, since you can configure it in a minute and it integrates perfectly with the Gnome desktop, being the default mail client of many distributions that have this desktop.

To install this mail client in our distribution, we must add the repository to our team and then install it, which we are going to do with the following commands (for Ubuntu):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:geary-team/releases
sudo apt update
sudo apt install geary

With the first command we will add the Geary dev team repository, with the second we will update everything to the last to avoid problems and with the third we will install the program.

The best mail client for GNOME, everything has already been said, simple, fast and works perfectly, in addition, selecting an option demonizes the application and you do not have to start it by hand, always receiving notifications of new emails.

    Better than evolution for me.

One question ... Does it have support for Gmail with security activated? I don't really know how to define it, but it is an option that normally must be deactivated to be able to access it from mail applications that are not from Google.
    All the best

A question ... someone knows where the emails are stored and if it allows exporting or making a backup the emails that are stored in this client ...
