Librecon is one of the most important events on free technologies, and already has its new program for the eighth edition to be held this year. For those who still do not know it, Librecon is an international conference on open technologies, a benchmark in southern Europe, giving a practical approach to these open-source technologies in strategic sectors such as industry, finance or public administration. Tickets are already on sale through the official website of the event, that until the 7th they have been with a 50% discount. Now you can select between the two prices offered: Standard and Premium.
Both types of pass include access to conferences, cafes and free access to the Bilbao tram (only showing the LIBRECON accreditation acquired) between the days 20-22 for November. On the other hand, the Premium also includes a meal on the 21st, access to business spaces and concert videogames (symphonies of famous videogames directed by the Irish conductor Eimear Noone together with the BIOS or Symphony Orchestra of Bizkaia). And from LxA we encourage you to attend this event with a strong informative character in which a multitude of professionals from the sector and also amateurs gather.
The event will have a total of 50 presentations, distributed between business cases and workshops. These will be taught by prominent professionals from companies such as Mozilla, Hitachi and Orange. There will also be guest speaker talks on the morning of the 21st, including Julia Bernal from Red Hat, with whom we will be soon at LxA, CEBIT Vice President Marius Felzmann, etc. You will also find discussion tables and national and international experts.
On the 22nd it will be more focused on cybersecurity, with the presence of Luis Jiménez, deputy director general of the CCN-CERT (National Cryptological Center) and the head of security at Iberdrola Ángel Barrio. As for the forum, you will have Richard Stallman and other speakers, as well as professionals from Serikat or BBVA. All that and much more in a few days at Librecon, are you going to miss it? I would not do it…
