Firefox Quantum already in its beta version

Firefox 38

Lovers of free software and above all, lovers of the Firefox browser, now have the Beta version of Firefox 57 available, better known as Firefox Quantum. Users can already try it and see what this new browser will be like, which promises a lot.

We already anticipated here, that Firefox Quantum would be a kind of big bang, a new rebirth of the fire fox browser, which although in its day was the king, has been in the shadow of Google Chrome for years. With this browser, Mozilla hopes to win back many users, whether on Windows, Mac, and of course, Linux.

Only a few days ago, Firefox 56 came out, which already brought some vestiges of what will be Firefox 57, which will already take full advantage of the new Quantum technology. At the moment, it has been found to be faster than other browsers, being twice as fast as Firefox 52.

In addition, you want to take better advantage of processors with more than one core, something that causes that the browser does not have to throw as much RAM memory, one of the biggest problems of Firefox in the past. It is expected to achieve a consumption of up to 30% less memory compared to previous versions.

This has been achieved from a new CSS engine, which has been developed in the Rush programming language. In this way, Firefox Quantum will be able to work on all computers, even the oldest ones. In this way, it is expected to finally beat the most used browser in the world, that is, Google Chrome.

For the moment, We only have the Beta version and there is still the final version to come out, although we have two options. First, we will be able to download Firefox 56, which already has some parts of Quantum and secondly, we will be able to download the Beta version of Firefox 57 through here.

I will have to try it when it comes out, but I would have to improve in very specific areas to be able to use it again as my main browser
