Mozilla apparently plans to launch a Premium version of your Firefox browser later this year.
This was confirmed by the CEO of the organization, Chris Beard, during an interview with the German medium T3N, making it clear that the free version will continue to be free.
According to Beard, privacy and security will be key features of the offer in this paid browser.
A few months ago, Mozilla announced an alliance with a company specialized in VPN, so it is not unreasonable to think that the service integrates directly into the browser, with a plan included in the price of the browser.
Right now there is no information on the price of the browser or if it will have a monthly subscription like other digital services. Beard suggested that there will be Premium tiers, so there will surely be a free tier with the basic browser.
If there is a free version of Firefox with half-features, Mozilla runs the risk of becoming a "trial version" that not everyone wants to use as the main browser, however this might be necessary.
