It seems that the development of Endeavor it is experiencing a slowdown. after one october version It arrived in the expected period, there was no November version because a bug had to be corrected in the one launched a month earlier. Two months later, this December, they had to launch a new image which was actually October, but with the bug fixed. Today they gave us bad news again in the form of another delay.
As we read in the posted entry on its news portal, the team developing EndeavorOS had planned to launch this weekend the net installer, something that should be a Christmas surprise. The surprise has not come, or at least not a positive one, since the system on which they are based, Arch Linux, is preparing a big cleanup update on Xorg and Fred Bezies, which, in the end, has translated that they have to delay this release.
EndeavorOS net-installer will have to wait
Right now Archlinux is preparing a big cleanup update from Xorg and Fred Bezies who ran some tests with the network installer with the test repository enabled. It may not surprise you that the net-installer did not work properly under those circumstances.
It seems like, update will hit main repository very soon and the problems will be solved. Still, the EndeavorOS development team apologizes for failing us for the second time in two months, but assures that the net-installer will be available soon. Also, we understand that this time they are not responsible for this delay.
EndeavorOS development seemed to go smoothly until these last two failures. In fact, it was surprising that everything went so well, considering that so many things changed, including a team of developers, that they decided to rename the project that it was previously known as Antergos.
