It is a bit disconcerting to follow the development of the operating system that replaced AntergOS. It is based on Arch Linux and it is Rolling Release, but its ISO images arrive at a trickle. The previous launched in April, and since then there has been a void until today, when they have given us EndeavorOS 2021-08-27. Its developers say they are very proud of the work done, but as a user of a Manjaro that constantly releases new versions and knowing that Arch Linux releases a new ISO every month, it seems to me little.
But the important thing here are two things: the first, that existing systems continue to receive updates soon, and the second that they continue to introduce their own new features, things that they are doing. This August they have introduced, for example, a new application that shows information about the project's applications, EndeavorOS apps info, from where we can consult certain information.
EndeavorOS 2021-08-27 arrives four months after the previous ISO
EndeavorOS is not a system that adds a lot of "bloatware", that is to say, extra software, and for that reason they have not added this application by default. To install it you have to write "yay -S eos-apps-info". Among the rest of the news, we have:
- Squid 3.2.41.1-9. The installer has received improvements that make it faster and it is now possible to use BTRFS as the file system during the installation of the operating system.

EndeavorOS 2021-08-27 has been available for a few hours, and your new image is available here. For those who do not know, the edition uses Xfce by default, but the installer offers an on-line option from where we can choose other desktops, such as KDE, GNOME or I3, and what to install in each case. It also offers the ability to install an additional LTS kernel, currently Linux 5.10.60. Existing users can now upgrade from the operating system.
