Few days ago it was released the new version of the distribution from GNU / Linux Emmabuntus which reaches its version 1.02 bringing with it new improvements and several bug fixes based on its previous version.
For those who do not know about this Linux distribution yet, I will tell you that Emmabuntüs is based on to two Linux distributions one that is Ubuntu and the other that is Debian, with which it tries to be an intuitive distribution with the beginner and also to be a light distribution in resources such that it can be used in old computers,
In the case of Ubuntu as a base, Emmabuntüs is based on LTS versions and is usually updated every time its support ends, such is the case that the most current version is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS that still has support.
In the case of Debian, Emmabuntüs is based on the stable versions to take the best of them and adapt them for easy computer overhaul donated to humanitarian organizations, starting with the communities of Emmaüs, where the name of the distribution obviously comes from.
This in order to promote the discovery of GNU / Linux by beginners, as well as to extend the life of the computer hardware to reduce waste induced by excessive consumption of raw materials.
In this new release that its creators are pleased to announce, we can find that, this new version of Emmabuntüs DE2 (Debian Edition 2) is based on Debian 9.4 stretch and that it has the XFCE desktop environment.

This launch aims to further alleviate the restoration workload on all associations using Emmabuntüs, especially our friend Robert, who, over the last 4 years, equipped 17 kindergarten and primary schools, as well as our friends from YovoTogo and JUMP Lab
The Orione associations that, over the last 3 years, equipped 13 training facilities in Togo, including 10 high school computer rooms
By taking the new version of Debian as a basis some adjustments were made to meet some demands from its users, among which, it is now possible to disable some scripts that come in the distribution both to configure screen protection and automatic printer configuration.
What's New in Emmabuntüs Debian Edition 2 1.02
Emmabuntüs DE2 1.02 It has its versions for 64-bit and 32-bit architectures which includes UEFI support.
All the corresponding security reviews were carried out to detect errors and thus be able to safely launch the new improvements that are present in Debian 9.4 Stretch to be adapted to this new version of the distribution.
As well some patches were applied to the Emmabuntüs Debian Edition 2 1.02 systemAlso the distribution's developer team added some new apps and they updated some already existing ones, among which we can highlight:

As well it was decided to add a new LXDE install icon in the menu of the XFCE desktop environment with which users are given the possibility to install a simpler and more versatile desktop.
