DraftSight a free AutoCAD clone for Linux very well achieved

DraftSight is an interesting program for Engineers and lovers of computer design. Everyone knows the famous Autodesk AutoCAD, but now I come to talk about a clone of it that is also compatible. DraftSight uses ARES as a platform and is based on Qt, but despite being free and available for Linux, the license is privative.

DraftSight is very professional And it doesn't have much to envy AutoCAD. The developers have ensured that DraftSight can generate files with the extension .dwg and .dxf. DWG is the binary format that stores all the design data and is used by many CAD programs and DXF is a generic format that can be read by many CAD software.

The program designed by Dassault Systèmes and currently owned by CAD 2D is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Czech, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Brazilian. It has already been downloaded several million times, so its success has been quite acceptable. Also, if you are tired of other tools such as LibreCAD or BRL-CAD or FreeCAD, the program we are talking about will serve as an alternative.

Excellent post. A question out of context: how can I remove advertising from underlined words? I get micro $ oft ads. (I already use Adblock plus)
