A few days ago the leakage of the ISO of the new windows 11, that version that should not exist according to information from Microsoft itself, since version 10 was going to be the last, updating it as a kind of rolling release. However, it has been proven that this has not been the case, and the Chinese distro Deepin does not want the Redmond operating system to be the only protagonist.
As you know, Windows 11 is basically a remodeled Windows 10, with profound changes in the graphical interface and with improvements in terms of security. Of course, it still has the Linux subsystem (WSL) as its predecessor, but it includes a striking novelty: now supports Android apps, through the Amazon App Store.
Well, Deepin has done something similar in his new version Deepin 20.2.2. An important step forward for several reasons. The first is that it launches a new application store with a new, more minimalist and attractive design in its graphic windows. Something that already seems a brand of the house in the Chinese environment.
But there is something that stands out even more, and that is that it also integrates Android applications available that you can install without the need for emulators or add-ons for these native apps. That is, the same idea after Windows 11, only in a GNU / Linux distribution.
However, there are still no apps available at this time, and the support of Android apps in Windows 11 and Deepin is slightly different, since in the case of the Chinese distro it only supports some apps that are found in containers. This is thanks to Android container support in the Linux 5.0 LTS kernel (support for 5.12 is still in the works).
