Compilation of curious programs for Linux

Rare software

Sometimes, browsing Google and searching for Linux software or using the Ubuntu Software Center search engine, you come across packages of curious software for the penguin system. Without wanting to, you are surprised by the amount of software that you do not know and, above all, it surprises even more the applications that some may have. For this reason, I wanted to make a compilation of some of the program curious that most have caught my attention:

  •  sub-surface: is a software in which you can manage and view data about diving and the seabed. It was written by Linus Torvalds himself, since one of his hobbies is diving.
  • QuitCount: is a program that is created and designed to stop smoking. The program is simple, you can enter the day you start the process and it will tell you a series of data that will help you continue with the detoxification.
  • brewtarget: it is a beer calculator ... that is, an app that helps you calculate the ingredients, temperature parameters, etc., in addition to keeping a database of the ingredients to create a delicious beer.
  • Apache Office: It is a project that integrates a lot of software to set up your own business, something like PrestaShop. With it you can have applications for ERP, CRM, e-commerce, assistance, points of sale, etc.
  • Stellarium: It is one of my favorites, as I use it sometimes. The truth is that if you are passionate about space and have a telescope, with it you can have a large amount of information to know what you see at all times and that you do not miss anything.
  • Sweet Home 3D: is a software to design your own house in 2D and 3D, very useful if you have projects in mind of how your new home can be.
  • Cycle: is a modest app that allows you to have a calendar to control the mensuration of women. In the style of Mencal, more of the same ...
  • jkiwi: an application that allows us to upload a photograph and put different types of hairstyle and hair to see how the new look would be.
  • Qalculate !: It is a calculator that, in addition to performing the basic operations that other calculators perform, it solves equations and formulas.
  • TDFSB: is a file manager that allows you to navigate our files and directories in 3D, just as they do in the movie Tron.
  • bsdgames: they are simple games for the system console.
  • Gbonds: an inventory of stocks, for those who want to be up to date on the economy and the stock market.
  • QhaveDate: a program to increase the chances of having sex, thanks to a dating website.
