If you were one of the many fans of the video game Commandos 2, you are in luck. Now it also comes to your favorite GNU / Linux distribution. But it does not do it in a normal way, as happened with old video games like Ewjim, which we also talk about in this blog. This is not a simple relaunch of a video game from the past. This time it is a title that has been remastered with better graphics so that you can see the maps and characters with better quality than in the original.
The title of the new video game is Commando 2 HD Remaster, but despite those changes in the graphics that have been improved, it still retains the same gameplay, characters, screens and everything that you had in the classic. Everything will be the same but with a better visual experience. As expected, you can get it in several stores, but the most famous is Steam from Valve, where you can already see a preview.
In addition, now it will also be available for Linux, something that was unthinkable at the time Commandos 2 was released. It will also come to macOS and of course Windows. Later it is planned to release it for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo. Many platforms for which it was not available before. It seems that Kalypso Media has big projects for this video game. I am sure it will have quite a few followers again.
For those who do not know Kalypso Media, is the group that has bought the rights to the franchise from Pyro Studios, the Spanish woman who developed the title in her day. It has also acquired the rights to Paraetorians which will be released as Paraetorians HD Remaster, the same title from the past but remastered as with the Commandos. By the way, if you wonder when they will arrive, it seems that sometime in Q4 of 2019 ... So we have to wait even a little longer. But it will come!
