CentOS 7 installation guide step by step

7 CentOS

Clearly CentOS is the operating system that usually occupies most of the web serversBecause it is a fairly robust and highly configurable system. This from my part I have verified since in almost all the providers of dedicated servers I have found CentOS as the default system.

That is why I made the decision before purchasing a dedicated server, to know a little more about the CentOS system as well as some tools and functions that have attracted attention.

CentOS 7 Installation Guide

To begin with the system installation, the first step is to download the system, for this we must go to the official website and download system image, in my case I got the minimum version, since I require it for web server.

Now it is essential to know the system requirements, since in my case I only occupy the minimum version I require:

  • 1 ghz processor
  • 64MB RAM
  • 1GB disk space
  • Internet connectivity

Otherwise, if you are going to have to use the system with a graphical environment, the requirements increase even more, so with a dual core processor, 2 GB of RAM and at least 15 GB in disk are on the other side.

Prepare the installation media

Windows: We can burn it ISO with Imgburn, UltraISO, Nero or any other program even without them in Windows 7 and later it gives us the option to right click on the ISO.

Linux: You can use any CD image management tool, especially the one that comes with graphical environments, among them are, Brasero, k3b, and Xfburn.

Hi, how are you? I'm also dabbling in dedicated servers.
but I did not have the "delicacy" to learn first,
I am in a web project,

For one thing or another, the client decided that he had enough money to rent a dedicated one.
the real issue, what brings me here is, how do I configure my dedicated server ..

I know that for cpanel I must use CentOs that I already installed .. now I do not know how to access my server to finish configuring

I tried with PuTTY and nothing that recognizes the key ..
So I need help if you can guide me pleasee
