Budgie 10.2.9 released with HiDPI enhancements

Budgie 10.2.8

budgie desktop it's a fairly new desktop environment that is getting a lot of buzz lately. This is the desk that they started under the Solus Project and that aimed to revolutionize what already exists in this area and bring fresh air. Its novelties include its simple design and lightness compared to other competitors. It is certainly a good alternative for the two big ones: Plasma and GNOME and I encourage you to give it a try.

Joshua Strobl of SOlus Project has reported that the version Budgie Desktop 10.2.9 It is now ready to download and install if we want to test it in our distribution, since although it was initially designed for the SolusOS distro, it can be installed in other distributions such as openSUSE, Arch, Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, etc. The development of the Budgie 11 version is already underway, but despite that the developers continue to add improvements to the 10 branch.

Budgie comes with some improvements compared to the previous version, such as some bugs fixed. In addition, some interesting improvements and modifications have been added. Chinese and Arabic language support has also been officially added, as well as some other Panel implementations to make it easier to set up and remodel them in Raven. But that's not all the new that this new version brings ...

Another improvement that it brings refers to HiDPI (High Dots Per Inch), specifically better detection. For those who do not know what HiDPI is, it is what is commercially known as a retina display, which Apple has made so popular in its products. Retina Display is a trademark of Apple, but it is not an exclusive technology, so for the rest of the mortals the term HiDPI will be used. They are nothing more than high pixel density screens that were devised by LG, Sharp, Japan Display and Samsung, among others.
