Balrum, a nice 2D RPG for Linux

Balrum is a 2D RPG with which you can entertain yourself in your Linux distribution. The first thing to explain what an RPG is for those who are not very into the subject of video games. Well, it is neither more nor less than a role-playing game, that is, it is the acronym for Role-Playing Game. A category of video games that in recent years is making a big dent in the world of digital entertainment.

The first thing to say is that, as usual, it has been funded from a Kickstarter campaign to obtain financing for its development through the famous crowdfunding. The truth is that the details of Balrum are quite good on a graphic level, I mean, they have taken care of the details quite well. Although for my taste it has a defect, and that is it is turn-based, therefore it is not in real time, something that I particularly do not like so much. However it works quite well and its background music is quite well done. Although the details of the objects, animals, structures and other elements are worth it.

Certainly Balrum is not perfect and still has some things to polish, such as that it cannot be saved during combat, but it is worked. The weather is changing, it is done day and night during the game to give more realism to the situation, in addition to having a weather system so that this can vary (sun, rain, electrical storm, you will even have to be careful with lightning ...). And small details can give the player an advantage or a disadvantage, like a simple dialogue ...
