This time I have decided to install one of my favorite games to be able to enjoy it for a while, that's why from what I share with the newbies a simple guide on how to properly install Assassin's Creed on Linux.

I have enjoyed many hours of playing with this title and for years I have followed the game franchise, they will not let me lie, but the first installment was one of the best that left more than one wanting more.

Requirements

Si you have decided to use Wine you must skip to the part where we configure the libraries necessary for the correct execution of the game, for this you will lean on winecfg.

For those who decided to use PlayOnLinux we must open it and We go to the menu> tools> versions of Wine.

Configuring PlayOnLinux

Here a window will open, whether or not you use a 64-bit processor it does not matter, we will use a 32-bit version of Wine. Here they download the most current in this case the stable one is 3.0.

Now We wait for it to be downloaded along with its necessary packages.

Done the download we return to the PlayOnLinux menu and now we are going to click where it says "Install a program"

A sale will be opened and in the lower left part we click where it says "Install an unlisted program"

  • POL_Install_tahoma

Finally it will ask us to find the game installerHere if you are using Steam, select its installer at the end, enter your account and download the game.

If you use the physical format insert your disk and select the installer and follow the steps of the installer giving next to everything and just wait for it to finish.

At the end of the installer, now we will create the game shortcut, the recommended one is the use Directx 9 or 10 and we put a name to the direct access.

After the installation of the game, we return to the main PlayOnLinux window we select the game and now in the options that PlayOnLinux offers us we click where it says configure.

A window will open and within it, we position ourselves within the Display tab and in the options that it shows us in "Video memory Size" We select the amount that our video card has if it is 2 GB we choose 2048, if it is 1GB we only put 1024.

We close the window and now we can proceed to run our game.

Solo select the game and click on "Run", with this it will start, in case of having done it with Steam, this will be executed and we only have to start the game from Steam.

If you have problems with the resolution, we return to the "Configuration" part and in the Wine tab, in Wine configuration, the window that previously configured the Windows version will reopen.

In the Graphics tab we activate all the options and in resolution select 1024 × 768.
