Arch Linux starts the year with the first build with Linux Kernel 4.20

Arch Linux

The Arch Linux community has started this year by releasing a new ISO using the latest stable Linux kernel,Linux Kernel 4.20.

Arch Linux 2019.01.01 is available and it is the first compilation of this popular distribution in 2019, it is powered by a new Linux Kernel and brings all the package updates released during December 2018. Last month Arch Linux 2018.12.01 was released with Linux Kernel 4.19.4.

Considering that Linux Kernel 4.20 was released just two weeks ago, close to the Christmas holidays, this release is a record for Arch Linux developers because in such a short time they have done the necessary tests to include it in this new ISO.

With this in mind, everyone who wants to install Arch Linux on new computers can download the Arch Linux 2019.01.01 ISO image from this link and use a USB to proceed with the installation.

We remind that Arch Linux users do not have to download the new ISO to have this update. If you already have the system and you want to update to this new version with Linux Kernel 4.20, you only need to execute the command “sudo pacman –Syu” in a terminal emulator.

The new Arch Linux ISOs are intended for new installations because its rolling release model allows you to install once and update forever. The next Arch Linux ISO, Arch Linux 2019.02.01 has a release date of February 1 of this year.

Hello everyone, I have been wanting to install Arch for a while and I always find myself with a bug, I would like you to make an updated guide on how to install Arch with some graphical environment and some optional configurations to take into account, if possible.
Thanks for everything anyway and keep it up.
