Android -x86 4.4 has new version

Android-x86 4.4, the port of the Android operating system adapted to desktop PC has a new version, specifically the r4 version, which is now available for download.

The attractive thing about Android-x86 4.4 is that it is capable of offering all the features of an Android 4.4 Kit Kat device but on PC, in a similar way to some Android emulators like Bluestacks, but with the difference that this is not an emulator, but rather its own operating system with its own drivers and its own Linux kernel.

As for what's new in Android-x86 4.4, has support for the often conflicting UEFI BIOS. As for the Kernel, it has been updated to version 4.0.9 and finally we could highlight the improvement of the Mesa 10.5.9 drivers, since it was failing in some GPUs.

This version works quite well, since it is able to run the essence of Android 4.4. Kit Kat with all its functions, but being much better adapted to the architecture of an ordinary PC than an emulator which usually gives many more errors. The usefulness of having such a distribution is to be able to test Android applications or to be able to play exclusive Android games, but which require too many minimum requirements for a small mobile phone.
