Amazon Web Service has powerful new features based on Linux

AWS Cloud Logo

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is probably one of the largest and most powerful cloud computing platforms out there, alongside Google Cloud services and also Microsoft's Azure. These three giants compete in a brutal way to get the best services for their clients, and for this they make use of large machines in which there is something in common, and that is the use of GNU / Linux as the main operating system to be able to manage everything. that power in a flexible, stable and safe way.

You may have already heard that Jeff Bezos, with ancestors from Valladolid (Spain), has now unseated Bill Gates himself as the richest man in the world, partly because of his Amazon store, partly because of the proceeds from AWS and partly also because of the enormous injection of money that it has received for Black Friday ... Well, within AWS there are a multitude of services that we can hire and use for our interests, some of them quite juicy and interesting for both individuals and companies .

One of these services is AWS Lambda, a platform that allows you to run code in the cloud without having to have your own server or manage that service. You would only pay for the compute time used without more, while you will not be charged while the code is not being executed. Well, this fantastic service obviously relies on Linux with a somewhat innovative structure, what they call "serverless", eliminating the need for running virtualized servers dedicated to enabling these services in the cloud ... Yes, that's it! Serverless services.

Another service is AWS Alexa, which is also sustained thanks to Linux. Alexa is a voice service based on AWS and used by millions of Amazon devices, so if you have one of them, you probably know what I'm talking about. But now it will also be available for companies. With Alexa, the customer or user is allowed to have a voice service that allows them to interact with technology in a much more natural way for humans than using different interfaces ...
