The team behind Kubuntu today announced a collaboration with Tuxedo Computers and MindShareManagement Inc., in order to create the first laptop with the default Kubuntu operating system, called Ubuntu Focus.
Focused on gamers, developers and advanced users, Kubuntu Focus comes with high-end components for those looking for performance and compatibility in a laptop with pre-installed free software, in this case Kubuntu, an official branch of Ubuntu with a KDE desktop environment.
The Linux-powered laptop comes with open source software installed, among this software we find image and video editors, web development, machine learning, Steam support and various other KDE Plasma packages.
Technical aspects of Kubuntu Focus
Inside Kubuntu Focus is a high-end processor Intel Core I7-9750H with 4.5GHz Turbo, Nvidia GeForce GTX 2060 with 6 GB of RAM, 32 GB of DDR4 2666 RAM, 1TB of internal storage Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe in SSD and a 16.1-inch screen with IPS technology and resolution Full HD.
